Years & Years release “Shine” from Communion

Due out on July 10, ‘Communion’ is the anticipated album from up and coming UK band Years & Years. Self defined as “soulful electronic pop”, lead singer Olly Alexander’s voice heavily compliments the emotive 90’s styled music that combines itself with elements of Radiohead and Diplo.

Years & Years have been a long time in the making, forming in 2010 when Mikey Goldsworthy moved from Australia to London where he met Emre; Olly later joined the band after Goldsworthy heard him singing in the shower.

In recent months the band has seen international appraisal and attention, with sold out shows across the UK and America, with their eyes set on Australia for Splendour in the Grass.

With recent single “King” topping No.1 in the UK charts, and “Desire” and “Take Shelter” making the other favourites, ‘Communion’ is going to be big.

Oh, and if you haven’t already watched the music vid for “Real” you should totally check it out here.

Currently heading to Australia in July via Secret Sounds
