These four Brisbane youngsters have put in the hard yards working towards their debut album \u2018Learn To Exist\u2019. They have released two EPs between endless touring and played at Splendour in the Grass this year. \u2018Learn To Exist\u2019 stays true to the band\u2019s upbeat and youthful, guitar fuelled pop with a few surprises along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Opening track \u201cCome and Be Alone With Me\u201d is everything you would expect from The Jungle Giants. It is bursting with playful guitar riffs, hand claps and clever lyrics,<i> \u201cIt\u2019s alright, it\u2019s okay, I didn\u2019t need my sanity anyway\u201d<\/i>provided by lead vocalist Sam Hales.\u201cI Am What You Want Me To Be\u201d delivers more feel good energy through repetitive, high pitched guitars which will make you dance around your room in delight. Hales keeps the infectious melodies coming on \u201cGot Nothing To Lose\u201d and a funky bass line makes an appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u201cA Pair of Lovers\u201dis a matured and darker track showing a serious side of the band. The mournful \u201cTruth May Hurt\u201d starts off with reverb heavy guitar and slowly builds up to a powerful chorus, \u201c<i>Well the truth may hurt but you need to let it out\u201d<\/i>. \u201cDevils In The Detail\u201d is raw and stripped backed, completely different from what we have heard so far. Hales sings along to an acoustic guitar but it doesn\u2019t feel misplaced. The album returns to their danceable sound on \u201cSkin To Bone\u201d which is sure to be a crowd favourite with its jangly guitar riffs from lead guitarist Cesira Aitken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hales sings of his troubles with love on \u201cDomesticated Man\u201d, \u201c<i>This domesticated man lost his heart and then he lost his friends<\/i>\u201d. This track beautifully layers instrument upon instrument with the signature hand claps underneath. The album closes with \u201cHome\u201d which is driven by keys and steady drumming. Hales sorrowfully sings \u201c<i>I wanna come back home\u201d<\/i>, a fitting end for \u2018Learn To Exist\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The Jungles Giants have delivered a polished and sun kissed debut perfect for summer.
